About us

Empowering students to raise awareness about organ donation and inspire life-saving change in communities.

Who We Are

License 2 Live On is a student-driven initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of organ donation.

Founded by Evie and Fiona Knight, our initiative began with a simple moment — getting a driver’s license and being asked: “Would you like to register as an organ donor?” That question sparked a mission to make the “yes” a more confident, informed one for every young person.

Our goal is to educate, inspire, and empower young individuals to take action within their schools and communities. Through awareness, education, and advocacy, we aim to create a future where more lives are saved through organ donation.

Why This Matters

The demand for organ donation far outweighs the supply. Together, we can change that.

Family Ties to Organ Donation

This initiative is something we feel passionately about because of our family’s personal experience with the benefits of organ donation. After months on dialysis, our late grandfather received a lifesaving kidney transplant that extended his life long enough for us to know him.

Because of this, our family has been committed to the cause of organ donation and transplantation for many years. Our grandmother founded the Bartch House — a facility near AdventHealth Hospital that provides affordable lodging for patients, their families, and donor families throughout the transplant process.

The process leading up to receiving a transplant is often difficult and very expensive. The Bartch House ensures no family has to face it alone.
